SupportCategory: LED LightingDo you recommend E26 to GU10 converter
Anonymous asked 9 years ago

I was wondering whether you support or recommend the use of E26 to GU10 converters. I know that you offer both types of bulbs but the PAR16’s are not available at Costco. As well, do you offer the converter. I know you included a converter with certain bulbs at Costco.

Hello,

Concerning the issue of E26 to GU10 converters, their use will depend on your geographical location.

If you are residing in Canada you may use the converter. There is however an aesthetic issue as the bulb will bulge out of the socket by an inch and a half (because of the converter). We unfortunately do not offer the converter, but you should be able to find one at a hardware or lighting store.

If you are residing in the United States of America, you may not use a E26 to GU10 converter as their use has been banned by the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.

If that is your case, we do not recommend that you use the E26 to GU10 converter.

I hope this answers your request, should you have any other questions please feel free to call us at 1-877-333-0098 or email us at led@conglom.com

Thank you
