In general these A19 bulbs are not designed for a range-hood. There is however no danger in using one, the only issue one might encounter is that an A19 bulb is just not the recommended look (which can vary depending on what type of range hood/kitchen fan you own).

In summary, any socket that is suitable for an incadescent or a halogen will be suitable for an LED.
