SupportCategory: LED LightingHow do I extend the base of a candelabra bulb?
Anonymous asked 3 years ago

I just bought 6 b11 candle bulbs to replace some older bulbs is a fixture.  Two of the bulb sockets seem to work fine, but on 4 of them it would seem that the bulb’s base is too short to reach the bottom of the socket to make contact.  This is an older fixture that will not come apart in order to replace the sockets, and the bottom of the socket does not have a spring mechanism that could be bent to reduce the depth required.  Any ideas?

Hello,

It seems that this issue may be caused by your candelabra’s sockets.
We suggest that you switch/rotate the bulbs between the 6 sockets in order to check whether this is an issue related to the LED bullbs or strictly related to your sockets.

Also, are you using any connectors to do so ?

We hope this will help,
